I wasn't griping about the ratings, just wanted to know the criteria.

Good luck nailing that nonsense down.

Tennessee is bad, period. Furman would have a great shot to beat Tennessee if they played right now. They probably would. Furman is pretty explosive. Both the GS-Maine win and the GSU-Furman wins are quality wins regardless of FCS.

Yeah, not sure how GS is ranked 9th after that win. Sure it was FCS, but it was top of the line FCS...and we won with backups at major positions. GSUs game was also exciting. Furman doesn’t have the rank of Maine yet, but it looks like they’ll get there by years end.

I would say the eagles beat the eagles better than the bears beat the eagles. If we don't shoot ourselves in the foot six times the score likely is more along the lines of 47-18. On a side note I watched yet another Maine head coach have himself a temper tantrum in Paulson. Must be the gnats

The icing on that cake was when Lunsford called a time out with one second left in the half. Some classic A level trolling. I almost shed a tear.

10. South Alabama - Don't know much about these guys. Pulled themselves out of a big hole against Nebraska, but were down early to the cornhuskers. Not sure they are a good team either. Gave up 265 yards to a bottom ten FCS program in Jackson State. Defense has to get better.

The Nebraska game was 7-7 after the first quarter and 14-7 at the half. What do you mean by “down early?”

Fair enough. I just knew you guys were down 28-7 at one point. Just checked the box score and it was early in the 3rd. I stand corrected. Big leads matter though. We all like to look at the final, but the game changes after a big lead, and it becomes less relevant how close the final was.

Unfortunately for us, while Nebraska’s offense was ineffective and scored 0 points in the second half, we threw a pick 6, gave up a punt return for a TD, and fumbled in our end zone which gave Nebraska 3 non-offensive TDS.

We aren't FCS anymore. Then you play a relatively close game with Maine. They are ranked Number 5 in the Any Given Saturday Top 25 poll but come on man. As a program seeming to take a step forward with the Chad, I'd expect more, even with Werts being injured.

Hey Eric, how do you think your team would do against a top-10 FCS playing Jacob Huesman, not having Darrynton Evans, and having one of your guards playing center and contributing like negative 40 yards of offense because of 3 high snaps?

It’s all excuses. Losing Shai hurts, sure. Kennedy is not out best back. And our center is a replacement level player.

You said on GSUFans that Werts is "way better" than Tomlin, now you're saying it's an "excuse". As usual, you don't care about any kind of consistency, reality is malleable to whatever serves your agenda in any particular instance.

What part of “losing Shai hurts, sure” are you having trouble with.

But, we are trying to say losing Cooper is some kind of death knell now?

When high snaps that accounted for a loss of 49 yards total and killed two drives at the goal line because Cooper wasn't in occured....then yea it made an impact.

I think the listed backup C was also injured, or at the very least wasn't on the field for whatever reason, so we shifted an OG (Dowdell) over to C.....and you see what happened.

No need to take offense. I thought my comments would be flattering, if nothing else.

The awful snaps were also happening with Cooper in the game.
