FSU vs BSU in Jacksonville might get cancelled
Tropical Storm Dorian is projected to hit the eastern coast of Florida Saturday. The computer models show it making land fall near Titusville located on the “Space Coast” of Florida. Best case scenario the game is moves up to noon Saturday, worst case it gets cancelled. I’m expecting an official decision regarding the status of this game to be made Thursday.

They could move the game to Tallahassee and seat it like it was going to be in Jax as best they can. It's not like Jacksonville was going to be neutral.

THIS is what should've happened in the first place.

That’s what they should do, but they won’t.

This is Labor Day weekend, and games are already scheduled for both Sunday and Monday. Those are viable options to cancellation.

The 11AM update has it hitting further south (Daytona?) as a major hurricane. This thing got upgraded in a hurry.

Sounds good to me. If the game is actually cancelled, it’s possible both teams could play on championship day if BSU ends up not winning their division. FSU has an even less likely chance of representing in the ACCCG.

My daughter and grandsons live on Merritt Island. As of last night when I talked to her Dorian looks to hit them head on.

So sad that Florida folks have to go thru this again within 2 years. Looks like my hometown in Sarasota is going to get the edge of the storm. Fortunately for Puerto Ricans it was just a weak tropical storm when it there. Hope your family is safe Jim. Do they plan on evacuating?

I spoke with her last night. She is a 4th grade school teacher. They closed school Friday so everyone could prepare. Last time they evacuated to Orlando but they are forecasting 100 mph for Saturday in Orlando. Not sure where they will go this time, probably south. Thankfully they don’t live on the oceanfront. They live on a canal.

The hurricane has slowed down and that’s not a good thing for Florida residents. It’s churning out in the warm water of the Atlantic gathering steam. Could be the worst storm Florida has seen in decades.
