I guess that maintains some sense of reality. Without it the good guy becomes a disinterested Dr. Manhattan type.

I think it was Iron Man 2 where Rhodes shoots the Ex-wife at Vanko and it's a dud as it tinks off of his armour. Vanko, however has his head completely exposed and could have been taken out right then and there with any normal weapon type, including the disappointing Ex-wife. In general, the head is ignored in movies that escape reality, I guess because it would be difficult to make a great action packed movie without making that compromise. It's similar to why all alien species speak english in sci-fi films.

EDIT: Does anyone remember an old Cartoon Network show called G-Force? It was hilarious as a kid growing up, because the main guy would literally fly through hundreds of laser beams and never, ever get hit. Totally unrealistic, even from a child's perspective.

EDIT #2: I think in general, if you're going to be a fan of comic books, MCU, or anything sci-fi or fantasy, you're going to have to get over the realism aspect and just try and enjoy the stories and the universe that's being created.

Until he started revealing details about covert surveillance programs on the Chinese.

That's where he crossed from whistleblower to criminal.

I do think it's a good thing he revealed the existence of those programs, but he shot himself in the foot when he started revealing data about foreign surveillance.

You know you're a traitor and not a civil libertarian when you're hiding from justice in countries that would shoot in the head without trial any citizen that did what he did. Chicken **** guy isn't going to say anything to criticize the authoritarian country he's hiding in, either.

The ex-wife missile wasn't a dud though. The Ex-Wife fails not because it’s ‘Hammer Tech’ but because Rhodey failed to use it properly. Earlier Justin Hammer says it’s a ‘kinetic-kill side-winder vehicle’. Meaning it needs to be accelerated to an extremely high velocity to be effective. Rhodey was way to close to his target. Saw this on reddit and thought it was a nice touch. They mocked Hammer but his tech wasn't as bad as his competitor made it out to be.

Eddie seems to be more prematurely judged without due process and misunderstood on this board than me. Eddie is truth, and everyone hates Eddie. I mean truth. I always get the two mixed up. Eddie Snow Snow is not what you bad ass motherfo's think he is.
