didn't he still play 25mins, then only went 3-13 FG, 1-6 3s? I say he was a non factor anyway. Looked like he punched Simonds in the nuts and earned that call.

idk what you are getting at. our guy wasn't actively trying to break his nose if that indeed happened.

maybe two guys collided while hustling to make a play. your guy got hurt unfortunately. im sincerely sorry that happened but nothing purposely malicious there.

then your guy punched Simonds in the nuts in anger. Ejection for retaliation was the right call. Cant have a fistfight on the court.

FYI Cockfield is a stud. Chiefsfan, you are right, he and Smith will battle it out for SBC leading scorer this year. Impressive.

Yet your clown announcer Vining repeatedly called him Cofield . . . what a dumb***.

That "clown" has 401 NCAA victories, 7 NCAA tournament appearances, and several conference championships. Only doing his 2d ever color commentary for a live basketball game. I imagine he has forgotten more about basketball than you will ever know, even if you studied for awhile.

What was dumb was that nobody ever corrected him.

To say that Pearson punched Simonds in the nuts is a big stretch.

He reached out and pushed his thigh as he ran by as Pearson was trying to get up after getting absolutely clobbered on the layup. Go back and watch the tape.

Yeah... If someone swats their hands around another persons balls in any sport, then they're gonna get called for playing dirty. There is no reason for his hand to be hanging around Simond's nuts except for to do what is considered the dirtiest trick in any sport. Simond's trying to block the ball was, well, trying to block the ball. If there was contact, then it was incidental because he was trying to make a play on the ball. The only balls the Texas State player was trying to make a play on were in Simonds' pants.

Not really that bad of a week from AState. Won in Lafayette, and nearly managed a major comeback in Monroe before falling short. Starting to see some progress out of this team for the first time all season. Now to see what we can do with the Bama schools coming to Jonesboro.

If Pearson did indeed foul Simonds after this blatant no call. Georgia State's follow up 3 shouldn't have counted. However they did count it, GSU were give two free throws, and the ball back. Essentially a ridiculous 8 point play that should have never happened. If anyone should have been ejected on that play it was simonds

Cmon TXST bros, someone swinging at someone's nuts is freaking dirty. This isn't some street hoops on venice beach

If yall wanna gripe about zebra calls from the game, we have our list grievances too. TXST benefited from being gifted more free throws than us. Move on..

Hardly incidental contact when you hack across someone's face hard enough to break their nose. It was in clear view of the referee as well.

Again though... if Pearson fouled simonds. The follow up 3 should not have counted. The play should have been ruled dead at the point of the foul and the 3 should have been waved off. This is basketball not football. You dont let the play run after a foul. Anyone that follows basketball knows that.

Kaspar doesnt complain about officiating but all but did so last night. TXST is going to appeal the flagrant call. It was bs.p

Even our beat writer was disgusted.

Whatever though. You're right. What's done is done.

But this year, we're going to be almost as bad as San Marcos football, or the UL women's basketball team. On a happier note, our girls are 8-3 and just beat SMU for the third time in a row.

the girls are getting it done. the guys are scrappy but cant shoot and so this season for them looks to be dismal. visitors shot 50% yesterday while the mavs shot about 36%. should be the other way around on your home court.

JaKeenan Gant's 45 point performance against Little Rock last night is the most points ever scored in a game at the Cajundome. It is also the first time a Cajun has scored 40 or more since Andrew Toney did it against Auburn in Dec., 1979.

Rayjon Tucker also had a career high in the game, going off for 36 for Little Rock.

I'm with Tx St, I don't know how the refs missed the dude getting his nose broken. You can't blame him for retaliating and it could have been a lot worse than what it was. Ga State is really complaining lol?

John when is the last time a team had over 40 on them dropped by one player 2 games in a row. Smith with 42 from ULM and Gant with 45?
