GRRREAT

Wow, what a bad deal for that young man. Someone is going to get a great QB.

Vigo the Carpathian was about 10x better at passing than he was. No contest.

RE: Kelly Bryant Transferring
I understand the decision. But I hope it's not being made in the heat of emotion at losing his starting job. Because of that emotional stress I think he can be forgiven for saying he felt he hadn't been treated fairly. He may come to regret saying it.

I believe that Swinney did the honorable thing here by telling Bryant that he wouldn't be starting this week (after starting the first four games). If, instead, Swinney let him play against Syracuse and then benched him, Bryant would not have been eligible to play anywhere next season.

By exposing the Tigers to the possibility of a ruined season should Lawrence now go down with an injury, Swinney is taking a big chance. If he hadn't given Bryant the chance to transfer, he would have had perhaps the most reliable backup quarterback as insurance this side of Jalen Hurts. Now he rolls the dice with freshmen.

Maybe in time Bryant will see that side of this decision.

Interesting list of potential destinations. Of course it is purely speculation at this point.

As good as he is, I just don't know if it's worth it for a single year, especially considering the potential in the future for claims of tampering. Can you imagine the outrage if a kid played two years at Carolina and then showed up at Duke or NC State? What happens if Clemson's second string starts transferring out to GT, NC State, WF, or FSU?

If Lawrence goes down with a season ending injury on Saturday, would Bryant want to come back? Would the coaches/team let him come back?

I don't know.. From what I hear, there is another true freshman waiting behind Lawrence that's very good.

Understandable why he is transferring. Kid obviously wants to showcase himself for the NFL.

But if he lost his starting job because he's a lousy passer, what kind of shot does he have of making it in the NFL?

He completed 66.7% of his passes. His overall QB rating was 40 compared to 87 for Lawrence.

And my point still stands...as long as he believes he can make the NFL is all that counts.

If he comes to Louisville he would be the guaranteed starter.

Kelly Bryant might be finding that he may have made a mistake by leaving Clemson.
Bryant's QB rating for 2018 at Clemson in four games was lower than Nathan Elliott's at Carolina.
Just let that sink in for a few minutes.

RE: Kelly Bryant Transferring
I'll reserve judgment on whether the kid made a mistake leaving, as I don't know what he's thinking. I also don't begrudge anyone transferring if its obvious they won't be getting playing time beyond mop-up duty and they want minutes, especially if they have NFL dream.

That said, I don't think many outside of him or his inner circle actually think he is an NFL QB.
