RE: Sun Belt Week 3 Predictions
Now we're in the interesting part of the Idaho season. We had our FCS game and our no-chance game and it's time to see what we can actually do. The Cougs starting 0-2 doesn't help us -- this is absolutely a must-win for them.

I don't expect to beat Wazzu but I do expect to look like we belong on the same field. If they hadn't lost their opener and weren't quite so hungry I'd give us an OK shot to pull off the upset. But they were always more talented than we are and now they're probably more motivated. So, I'm saying we lose 42-28.

For those of you are picking State to keep it around 30, think again. Up it by 10. This might be the first time we don't cover a P5 spread. It is going to be ugly.

Arkansas State @ Utah State 35-30
Georgia State @ Wisconsin 42-17
Miami @ App State Heart 28-24 App Head 35-17 UM
Idaho @ Washington State 35-17
New Mexico State @ Kentucky 35-24
Louisiana Monroe @ Georgia Southern 31-17
South Alabama @ Louisiana 21-17
Troy @ Southern Miss 42-38
Texas State @ Arkansas 41-20

I have a feeling GS still struggles to find a rythym on offense.

RE: Sun Belt Week 3 Predictions
Arkansas State has won 2 FBS OOC Road games in the last 25 years. (Memphis in 06 and A&M in 08) Picking us to win is really stepping out there, even in a good year.

I will quantify this with the note that 95 percent of our FBS Road OOC opponents in that time frame are either Memphis or a P5 school, so the stat isn't entirely crazy for the Sun Belt.

So this lack of winning OOC games is not. New phenomena? Maybe when Blake Anderson inevitably leads stAte back from the brink during the conference season he can be offered a position at another school. This time, stAte can take their time finding a coach who will lay out a blueprint for how to win against FBS teams who aren't in the Sun Belt.

For the life of me I dont get it. I know the SBC is not the SEC but the amount G5 losses OOC are complete enigma. Especially lately.

If it pours like we think it may don't be surprised if ULM easily covers the spread.

Not many picking the Cajuns....I think we continue ironing out some things with the new additions. Eli and Jennings go for 200 combined on the ground.

Cajuns 31
South Al 27 (late fg)

Arkansas State @ Utah State: A-State by 10. I feel good about this game, weirdly enough.

Georgia State @ Wisconsin: Wisconsin and it won't be close.

Miami @ App State: Miami and they cover the spread, but not by much.

Idaho @ Washington State: Washington State and it won't be close.

New Mexico State @ Kentucky: Kentucky by 10

Louisiana Monroe @ Georgia Southern: GS by three scores.

South Alabama @ Louisiana: USA by two scores

Troy @ Southern Miss: Southern Miss by 10+.

Texas State @ Arkansas: Texas State by 42.

Yeah. I considered 62, but figured that was ridiculous.
