Re: recruiting. CCU would make seven G5 schools in the four states (GA, SC, NC, VA) between Florida and DC where there used to be one (ECU) only five years ago. Sure the SoCon or Big South could lose their best recruits, but my guess is the biggest problem would be for the MAC and northeastern/Midwestern AAC schools, as well as the doormat programs in the ACC and Big Ten. G5 level recruits from FL and GA now have more options to play closer to home instead of settling for the going all the way up to the Midwest.

Yeah this sort of thing really messes up schools like Iowa state who have a hard enough time getting anyone to visit their schools without a bunch of home town competition in the mix.
