Man, you're banking on Troy making a massive comeback after only winning against the three worst teams in the Sun Belt this season.

Wow, really? We're not losing many starters and we MIGHT be bowl eligible?

I'd say ULL, Ark. State, Tex. State, App, and Georgia Southern will go bowling next year. I don't see Troy turning it around and dominating the conference within the off-season. USA is great, but I would put money on a bowl choosing App or GaSo over them next year.

Nobody said we "might" be bowl eligible. They said we would be bowl eligible, but on the outside looking in (similar to this season).

You anticipate the Miami Beach Bowl being open for an At Large next year?
New Orleans: ULL
Go Daddy: App State
Montgomery: AState
Cure: Georgia Southern
Armed Forces: Texas State
USA goes 6-6 and gets left out next year.
Before anyone questions my calls, I have App State winning the league next year. Arkansas State and Georgia Southern will tie for 2nd. Cajuns and Texas State both finish over .500 in league next year.

To further illustrate my App for the title stance, look at their home/road splits next year in league
Host: Troy, Georgia Southern, Arkansas State, UL-Lafayette
Away: UL-Monroe, South Alabama, Georgia State, Idaho
If the Apps can play great at home...they can play their way into the league title.

App was bad the first half of 2013, then turned it around the second half of the season. In 2014 they did the same thing.
It will be interesting to see if they can put together a full season in 2015.

RE: 2015-16 Sunbelt Bowl Projections
I think Troy will be around the 6-6 mark next year
We get charleston southern, Ga State, Idaho, NMSU those are 4 that could/should easily be wins.
We would then only need 2 wins from:
We get USA, Ga Southern, ULM at home
And App State, ULL, NCSU, Wisconsin, Miss state
If we get to 6-6 we will almost be a lock for the camellia bowl as its 40mins from our main campus.

It depends if the Camellia bowl is concerned with ticket sales or hotel and restaurant business. 40 minutes away means everybody comes, but nobody stays the night. Even more so than with USA this year.

Yes there's that too... But a lot of Troy fans travel from a distance to the game. Me being one. I would get a hotel. As would the gulf coast Trojans... It wouldn't be any worse than USA did on hotels this past year IMO. Plus we would have a larger crowd than they had.
Our hotels in Troy are almost always sold out on game days. That's because Troy fans buy them as they travel to the games.

RE: 2015-16 Sunbelt Bowl Projections
A lot of this will depend on when in the season we and other teams will play each other. If GS get's it's harder Belt games on the front end I think we lose a couple but if we get them middle to later in the season and our new O-line and DB's have had time to gel then I think we will be a tough team again. For me a realistic scenario would be for GS to go 2-2 OOC and 6-2 in SBC play. Same goes for App I just don't believe they will go 4-0 at home against those teams. Without knowing exact date and who every team has coming back my Bowl predictions are:
New Orleans - ULL
Camellia - App St.
Go Daddy - stAte
Cure - GS
Eligible but needing an At-Large:
Texas St
ULM

ULL will go at least 6-6 and it will be hard to leave out some who has sold more bowl tickets then any other sunbelt school.

I think the Camellia Bowl is a blessing and a cruse for TROY. Just like ULL is a lock for New Orleans Bowl, if TROY is 6-6 or better they will be in the Camellia Bowl forever.

USA has App, Louisiana Lafayette, and ASU at home. If they do well at home they can finish with a good record.

I hope we DO go to the Cure Bowl, personally.
As I've documented on here before, I moved our vacation for 2015 so as not to be in Puerto Rico on the day of the Cure Bowl

You're right App was smoke and mirrors the last half of the year and loses too much we'll be lucky to repeat 7-5 next year.
