Those seats will be at least 150 percent full. Students stand and always pack them in like sardines. The deck next year is really what we need this year, but we had a retard AD that wouldn't get the ball rolling on anything before the new one took over.

Would like to see a wider view. Also will the upper deck be done by the start of 2014?

It WOULD have possibly been ready this year, but the BoR drug their feet. More their fault than Sam's at this point, cause it was happening whether or not Sam jumped onboard or got run over.

If you can get the cam's working you'll get a wider view. The seating that ValleyBoy posted is being duplicated on the other side. We're probably only going to get it partially done this year due to weather and other factors. Plus, the top part of the seating area will be reconfigured and a concourse put in, so they'd have to rip up some of the newly constructed seating anyway. Guess it works out better that way.

The deck is scheduled to be done by the start of the 2014 season.

Here's the most recent rendering that's been generated. Sorry about the quality, I took a picture of it from the Athletic Foundation newsletter. First time I've seen this rendering so I don't know of any other sources for it.

Previews of expansion plans can be misleading. This was some picture I had of the East stand at Kidd Brewer, but was built and was nothing like this. All that open area for instance was filled in. The grade is even off it seems.

I agree, renderings are plans to deviate from, but there are features in this rendering that have been talked about but not seen before. They are different from the original renderings we saw a while back. Even some details of the FOC have changed.

Nice addition for the kids and families to incorporate a mini football field right in front of the FOC. One of our traditions is having young kids play football in one end zone, so I'm glad we were able to honor those traditions while making sure it looks nice.

LOL.........I played at GSU back in the 80's and Erk used to bottle that water and we would have a little deal before some of our away games and he would spinkle that water on the other teams field. We all knew it was not magic but everyone bought into it anyway. Watching that old man tell the stories and sprinkle that water got us pretty pumped. But you are right!! That water wasnt and isnt the cleanest stuff in the world. We used to walk through it after thursdays practice sometimes. We won alot of games. Maybe the water did have something.

He poured that crap on the KBS field and it froze before it hit the ground at a 1989 playoff game. An App fan wrote "you can't score" in the snow pretty big on the hill and he was correct. That was playoff football.

This picture is a little misleading because the home side gets extended on both ends as well.

1987

Still the coldest I've ever been for a game. Must thank the ASU people for "forgetting" to scrape off the ice from the visitor's stands that day. hahahaha.....

They haven't started that side yet, have they? I was starting to think it will be done in 2014 along with the deck and the FOC.

There are no imminent plans to expand the pressbox side of Paulson. I expect us to expand that side sometime between 2015 and 2020

There are no plans in the books, but one of the phases of the Soaring to Victory campaign has a provision to cover seating expansion. That would fund extending the seats on the pressbox side. We are ~3 years into the 8 year plan...my last update on dollars raised was $12.7 million but that was several months ago. I think we've raised $1.2 million for the campaign since the FBS announcement. We should have those seats a lot sooner than you think.

What? Sam never even asked for an expansion. It would have happened years ago if we had a real AD>

He kicked our entire fanbase's dog. Why would Sammy ever get any leeway from a GSU fan is beyond me.

Gonna be a long time before Sam is forgotten.
And even longer, it seems, before he is forgiven.

Trucks moving like a big sandbox going nuts @ 6:25AM this morning I noticed.

It does? I thought the seat expansion was only for the student side.

Grube hired a bean counter to be a bean counter. You continuously bash a guy that was doing what he was hired to do. Keep people content and happy in FCS. He left us with a lot to be desired, no doubt. (especially the younger, pro-FBS crowd) Enter Keel - he gets us all fired up, obviously sam isn't going to cut it anymore so we hire TK to lead us to the promise land and we finally get the invite we've all been wanting for over a decade.

But you can't seem to let the past go. It's like receiving the invite isn't enough for you. We are moving to FBS, yet you won't quit talking about Sam. It's like you have so much bottled up hate for the man and now that you have nothing to complain about you just keep bringing him up randomly. Move on dude, everyone else has.
