NIU in Chi-town this morn
Watching WLS-7 (ABC) morning show (6:23 am) and outside the studio was Victor E. Huskie, a bunch of NIU students, and NIU spokesperson Brad Hoey talking to Judy Hsu about the Orange Bowl. Said they'd be in downtown Chicago this morning passing out 1,000 oranges to promote awareness of the Huskies playing in the Orange Bowl. They all predicted NIU would win ... which means they're not influenced by Herbstreit's supposed expertise.

This is excellent marketing. If nothing else, it would make more people aware of NIU. Kudos to whoever thought of this.

They were also at channel 2 and 5. Had the #HuskieStreetTeam with Victor E Huskie at Union and Ogilvie train stations as well. Nice ads in Sun-Times and Tribune today, too. Great stuff!

If you watched the Youtube video with the Orange Bowl Rep in it riding around with Victor E, he said that NIU was the most organized University he has worked with, and he has worked for the Orange Bowl a long time.

Hats off to NIU!

Go HUSKIES!!!
