Voss
There was a time when Collin Voss was being heavily recruited by both WMU football and basketball. It was unlikely that Voss was coming here as his sister was at CMU, but it was still a possibility.

As recruiting with Voss progressed the word on him at the high school level from both football and basketball was he was difficult. That he had character issues, and saw himself as a prima donna. Both programs backed off recruiting him.

When the vaunted, i.e. vastly overrated CMU recruiting class was signed, he foresaw instant success with himself, TZ, and Derek Jackson. While most freshmen acknowledge a learning curve along with some confidence, in Voss's case you could sense the cockiness.

Apparently, other freshmen in the league such as Matt Stainbrook, Juwan Howard, Matt Kamainici, and Jesse Berry hadn't read Collin's press clippings from the GR Press. Unlike Collin, they produced individually and as a team................and Collin made guys like Cubit and Hawkins look like geniuses for taking a pass on him.
