Looks like the divisional TB didn't make a difference for any of the scenarios

Ball State is fortunate they had such a hot start and it they don't get things going it will be a brief tournament.

Then again, I wouldn't be too upset if the #5 seed scenario plays out!

The West is week????? I believe you mean weak.

11-5 by the two top teams is not weak. Western split with the West including road wins at Miami and BG. Not weak.

Weak is when you tie for the West with a 7-9 record. That's weak.

Chimps..........building themselves up by trying to marginalize the accomplishments of others :domokun:

Wow, a little pent up anger there dip? Contrary to what you just wrote, as of right now there are no 11-5 teams in the West. That might change tomorrow, but not yet. The best BSU can do is 10-6. After that, every other team, including CMU, is below .500. So yes, with the exception of 2 good teams the West is weak. Every team in the East is above .500 but BGSU, and they are 7-8. The East beat the West head-to-head 27-9 in crossover games. You guys were the exception holding your own against the East. Not everything is a slight against WMU, they are the only West team with much of a chance to do anything in the tourney, IMO.

And you're right, you got me on the spelling error. Nice job.

That's why your argument is week...............errr weak.

The bottom half of the West is what it always is.............WEAK. That would include your beloved Chips, EMU, NIU, and UT. But to include BSU and WMU, both of whom have solid records is just a Chimp trying to build his own team up at the expense of others.

As for BSU being out of gas................They had enough gas to go on the road, and come back from 23 down in a half to win by 7 at McCraphole Arena.

Wasn't BSU 1-5 vs. the East?

KSU, in a rebuilding year with only 3 players back from last season and 10 first year players, was 6-4 vs. the East and 6-0 vs. the West. They have won 23 straight games vs. the West.

Only WMU has shown that they are competitive with the East teams even in a down year for the conference.

If this is a lecture on how we're all supposed to whatever and blah-blah-blah, well, you can save it, because we all know it by heart.

Not a lecture at all. Just a reaction to the idea that there is a "top half" of the West. The West has one solid team, one sometimes respectable but very flawed team that would still be the worst team in the East, and four teams that could blow up and start from scratch and be better off.

What the MAC should do is abandon the divisions anyway. Divisions make sense for football. They add nothing to basketball.

Just seeing if you were an Arrested Development fan Mr. Axe. We all know the East is to the West what the West is to the East in Football; just tired of hearing about it. 04-cheers

I completely agree!

(Except the part about football because East football wins championships and actually won head-to-head in '09.)
