That's what we specialize in DB; you know that.

Didn't say it has to be Thanksgiving break (Saturday). Schedules obviously can be manipulated.

Big Ten is playing into December now, not that I recommend that.

Would it "suck" any worse than playing Ball State (for example) on a cold, sleety, Tuesday November night in front of about 3200 fans? Or EMU, home or away, on a Saturday late in season?

The last week of the regular season is now Thanksgiving weekend. The week after that is conference championship week. If you want Central to end the season, you're either playing it then, or on Wednesday night like Ball State two years ago and wondering why the attendance is down and throwing a fit that the MAC sold out one of its premier rivalry games for TV.

Of course what would you expect from a conference that schedules basketball rival games while kids are on break. 01-wingedeagle

Some Ohio guy probably rigged that schedule. I hope that they also scheduled Toledo - BG for the first week as well.

I'd prefer the big rivalry game to be late in the season. The only upside I see for opening the MAC schedule with CMU is that the weather SHOULD be decent.

The first 5 weeks of this schedule are tough, except for Nicholls St. But I will be surprised if this team doesn't beat either Illinois or UConn.

I'm a believer!!!

If TD gets 20 touches a game, Alex Carder will still have monster numbers, a higher completion percentage, and fewer bumps and bruises. Jordan White could be EXTRA special.

In his chat, Coach says Tevin should be one of the "premier backs in the MAC".

I won't be satisfied unless we win 2 of the 3 from the Michigan-Illinois-UConn group.

I think all of those games are within reach, realistically, but I'm not sure why UConn is being discounted by our Big Eleven Twelve "Conference that has issues" influenced thinking here, I think they're going to be tougher than both Illinois and BradyOfMichigan.

I think UConn has been somewhat overrated last few years and with coaching change that game may be winnable for us if we get off to good start first four games from confidence standpoint.

Don't know how good Michigan will be so early in their transition but they will be much better coached and sounder on Defense.

Yeah I hate to conjecture about the UM game. I had a lot of confidence last time and they just trampled us in the first half.

I think Carder has that kind of attitude that he won't be intimidated by the situation. That will help on O. I don't know if the D can handle Denard Robinson.

Our D is going to be sick, DC's second year, all that returning talent and speed. I'm not worried.

I'm hoping more that Michigan's new offense will do plenty to constrain Denard Robinson, especially early in the year. He's not an under center QB, but all their coaches are pro-set guys. By all means, Michigan. Take the ball out of your 1,500 yard rushing QB's hands to hand it off to an undersized running back 25 times.

As is MHB.

Should we replace optimism with expectations this year? If ever there was a time to say or think, "THIS is the year" I would think that this qualifies.

I'm pumped for Bronco football next year. Go Broncos!!

Nope. We need to be picked to finish third or lower in our division by the "experts". Trust me, we want to play with a chip on our shoulder; and I'm not talking about those flunkies in Mt. Pleasant.

I could care less where we are picked. In fact, I'm with you on that, the lower the better.

I'm talking about 'Bronco Nation' (LOL) and our attitude. Should we EXPECT great things or just hope that we will be great in the MAC?

If you don't expect excellence, you'll probably never achieve it.
