RE: Harnish Player of the Week
He deserves the acolades, Harnish is playing as well as any NIU QB in recent history and better than most. He is making great decisions, taking care of the ball and making plays. This team can have a great season if he stays healthy.

RE: Harnish Player of the Week
My only critique is it seems a lot of Chandlers throws are slightly behind the players, especially on crossing routes. I would like to see him put one up and let the receiver run under it on the downfield routes. On the other hand the WR's have great hands. Not many catchable balls are being dropped.

RE: Harnish Player of the Week
Listening on the radio for the Akron game, it sounded like the WRs were making really good catches, and there was some question at first (in Bill Baker's mind) whether they got their feet in bounds still, but they did. Sounds like the WRs have stepped up. Didn't see the game though.

The Temple game will tell us a lot more about how good Harnish is. He didn't throw for a lot of yards against Illinois, though he managed to convert some critical 3rd downs.

He threw for 208 yards on 25 attempts against Illinois which is actually pretty damn good. He's having an absolutely great year so far and deserves a lot of appreciation.

Oops, I was thinking of Minnesota. And of course he didn't need to throw much against them.

RE: Harnish Player of the Week
I think our O-Line deserves a lot of credit. We came into the season with question marks on the O Line trying to replace Adamski and Ogyabuanu (sp). However, we lead the MAC in rushing by a wide margin/game, are the least sacked team in the MAC and our QB has the best QB effeciency rating. All three of those stats would not be possible without the play of our O Line.

+1 - they are coming together. When they have broke down, Harnish is making the defense have to watch his scrambling ability. Didn't see the Akron game, but we need to keep throwing the ball downfield and over the middle to keep our attack well-balanced.

Against Akron Oline had a very good game. Many big holes for backs to hit. This unit is one of the best in the MAC and best of all it's back intact next year.
