RE: Spann Walter Camp Player of the Week
Our running game should be a terror in MAC play. If you key on Spann, Harnish can beat you. If Spann needs a blow, big ole Cam Bell is coming at you. Even Crider got in on the act yesterday.

Demetrius Bell will be a beast as well. just as quick as Spann but big enough to dole out some decent punishment

We have been spoiled at NIU with one very good back after another. Do not take Chad Spann for granted though. There might be people as big as him, as strong as him and as fast as him but he has the heart of a champion and a nose for the endzone. He is as determined a runner as I have ever seen and he is very special. Enjoy the remainder of his tenure, there are not too many like him.

I was one of the supporters of Kirkland. I saw a few practices when he was a true freshman and he looked really impressive. However, it sounds like he has regressed this year.

RE: Spann Walter Camp Player of the Week
Cybes, what about next week, and the following week against a 3-1 Temple team that nearly beat Penn State? Temple is having a great season and would be a very tough game.
Knowing the Wacky MAC even a 0-4 MAC team away could prove dangerous?
Cybes please do not get ahead of yourself.

Sorry Cybes, thought you were talking about UT = temple and us beating
Minn. I guess I need to check out link myself. By the way you should always worry about the Toledo game no matter what their record is.

GO HUSKIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would say that NIU has a reputation for growing professional running backs and Spann is leading our latest crop.

I think he was referring to Toledo's victory over Purdue.

A physician is giving an elderly patient his annual physical, and the physician tells him, "I have some bad news for you. You seem to be suffering from the early stages Alzheimer's disease."

The patient says, "Well, I guess it could be worse. At least I don't have Alzheimers".
