Wow. Those three years went fast, but only because we weren't paying attention.

Hey, I remember Eldon Miller. Must have destroyed a few of the 1976 brain cells in the 1977 graduation year debauchery. That was the year that was!

RE: Greatest Bronco Team Ever
This is a quote by Dick Enberg towards the end of the Marquette game with WMU trailing by 3: "And Murray as a Freshman isn't afraid to shoot but he misses again and now with 1:35 left Marquette will slow it down. Western almost has to foul now.". Cutter, Kursen, Tyson, Griffin, and Murray were on the floor down the stretch. I wonder if Harvey had fouled out by then? Tyson didn't foul out until there were only 20 seconds left. WMU had to foul 5 times in the last 25 seconds sending Marquette to the line with only 9 seconds left but Marquette drained both free throws to provide the final 5 point margin of victory. Someone needs to find the CBS game tape now or find the box score for that game.

Great guy, very good coach, tough schedule and inherited marginal talent. First recruiting class was marginal (late start). 2nd class was ok (Todd Dietrich and Tony Flap Flannery) and third class included Kenny Cunningham. Lack of any credible bigs (except Cutter in last year) and marginal skill players (lots of role players) hurt. Dietrich and Cunningham were a very solid duo. Did bring Mike Seberger and Dave Kuipers his last year.

That's what I'm talking about! So shut the hell up, DB. I'm speaking with authority, you better hear, listen and heed.

Dick is a great guy, has done very well at KVCC. May have been out of his element as D-I header.

Yes, we had marginal talent after Eldon left - but Dick had helped recruit it. The schedule was tough those three years, but we lost to GLIAC schools too (Grand Valley, Lake Superior) and at home to Kent their first game with an interim coach.

I always thought he had a tough gig following up Eldon taking off and putting him behind the bullseye that first year recruiting wise, it showed.

Didn't Miller take a couple of recruits to OSU with him that turned out pretty well? Hey Phil, who were they?! 03-lmfao
