RE: HASF spring drive
I'm sending in my first donation ever in a few weeks. Even if some are lowering their normal gift amount, I think you'll see a continued increase in the number of donors.

We can kiss goodbye the idea of building an Indoor Practice Facility within the next seveal years. It's going to take a long time before the environment is right and the appetite is there among alumni to raise the money needed to get that project off the ground.

Once again you will be wrong. As annouced at the Brigham/Novak golf outing last week, the IPF project is a go and it will get done in a short time frame. Should only be in the few millions of dollars, since all the HVAC and site work are pretty much done. AD staff stated that NIU was waiting for confirmation on the Cole Hall funds before the IPF would be a go. There must be some funds kicked in by NIU from the genral building maintenance fund (same place from which the funding for the East Side bleachers came)to get started. Now that Cole funds are secured, they will move on IPF. Sorry to disappoint you once again, but you you were wrong about the Y center by 4 years, so I guess you are right on track.

I find it interesting to read some of the vile responses by the Kool Aid drinkers. Complete idiiots would say "neo cons" and Republicans are responsible for our current economic crisis. No one looks at who controlled congress in the last 3 years. I ask for an example of a country any where in the world, yes in the history of the world, that you can point to as a successful example of ruining their kid's and grandkid's future with this amount of debt that was growing at a rate we were in the Bush years or have the unemployment of the Bush years. It hasn't happened. Only Kool Aid drinkers here will talk in platitudes and point to the obvious and take the ensuing personal attacks. It is simply another example (in addition to my current change in contract situation due to "Hope and Change") that I don't donate to NIU. I just refuse to believe that NIU is graduating this volume of idiots. What country in history to my earlier question? Idiots.

Like PT Barnum said (and especially if you believe the rhetoric flowng from the state run media) "there is a sucker born every day".
