injuries
I keep hearing the injury excuse and seeing numbers like 40 injured but I am interested in the list as it stands today...specifically, how it effected the toledo game...

who was out and where were they on the depth chart at the beginning of the season and who replaced them.

Just a Few off the top of my head:

Hanson starting OLB
McCarthy Starting MLB
Clanton Starting RB
and a bunch more. i'm sure someone is much better than I am at this list.

RE: injuries
in taking a look at the two deeps posted on this board for the toledo and the iowa game...

iowa ............................ toledo
Qb Nickleson, Morris.............. Nickleson, Morris
RB Clanton, Anderson ............ Anderson, Bryant
TE Cunningham, Davis, Beal...... Davis, Beckner, Beal
WR Davis, Cox, Perez.............. Davis, Turner, Lewis
Lt Acevedo, holmes.............. Acevedo, Holmes
Lg Meyerboch, skatrud.......... Skatrud, Meyerbock
C Adamski, Ellison............... Adamski, Onyebuagu
Rg Onyebuagu, Tense .......... Onyabuagu, meyerbock
Rt Brost, keller.................... Brost, skatrud

LE Bice, antonacci................. Bice, Cruikshank
NG Krutch, Jackson.................. Pirkle, Jackson
RE English, Coffman................. English, Brown
Slb Allan, sklarb....................... Allen, sklarb
Mlb Tranchitella, Larsen........... Larsen, Brown
Wlb Hansen, Ibarra.................. Hanson, Tranchitella
Lcb Rice, George..................... Pruitt, george
Ss Kube, Reiter...................... Kube, Williamson
Fs Pruitt, Williamson................. Reiter, Williamson
Rcb Carter, mason.................... Carter, mason

yes, there were some injuries but is this REALLY the difference?

arguably we have lost nothing with clanton going down and anderson coming up....in the tight ends Special K must have gone down before the depth chart was published but we still fielded pretty much the same personel here (if i am not mistaken, cunnigham saw action at toledo) Skatrud went down on the line but our second string is still there....

on D, there are not many that dont like Pirkle in the lineup. And although the D line has been hit in its depth, we still have Bice, and English starting this game.

The LB's have been hit hard....McCarthy was a blow no doubt and even though he had a staff infection for the first game, his going down for the season was tough. However in looking at this, we did not go too deep into the two-deeps to fill these spots...

once again, our db's lost some depth but still stayed with 3 of the four starters and one second team replacement

Yes, we have had injuries but the team we fielded today was very similar to that which we started against iowa

everyteam willhave injuries...mccarthy was a blow but to expect that his unit will get better next year and to explain away a 70 point barrage because of injuries that toledo might even be able to go man for man with...

sorry, i do not think this is a valid excuse for the play today.

RE: injuries
Hansen, McCarthy, NT, DT, rice all out for our D.

5 of 11. I'm not a math whiz but...thats about half our D.

I think about half of the starting D being out is a big deal.

I know YOU don't think it's a big deal...but clearly it is.

On O we were more hurt by poor QB play than anything else.
