RE: Wolfe talk on the Bears board
We really need to start using wolfe as a spellback...our line is terrible right now, and it almost seems like benson gives up when he doesnt have an apparent hole (which is the case most of the time). Wolfe keeping the linebackers on their toes, the defensive lineman reaching, and the secondary tip-toeing to try and keep from getting juked would help benson TREMENDOUSLY...

Tonight was an absolutely HUGE win, but we still wont win 9 football games averaging 2.4 ypc..something has to be done somewhere.

Go Wolfe, Go Bears!

Go Wolfe, Go Bears!

its not only Benson, our Oline isn't getting any younger. I'm amazed some of those guys are still moving.
I like how Benson didn't slow down in the 4th. It seemed like he was running like he did back at Texas in the 4th.
Adding Wolfe in the rotation would definitley give the opposing D something to think about.

Anybody watch CSN Post game live? Willy Jackson interviewed the one and only GW

"chicago seems commited to that bum benson."

"Chicago is committed to cedric benson. they don't want to admit they were wrong for not keeping jones."

Jones is as much of a joke as Benson is. TJ might of got over 1000yds every single year he was a Bear, but is it really that great of an accomplishments nowadays?

It's an accomplishment if Benson gets a 100 yards and doesn't fumble the ball. It's an accomplishment when he finally learns to lower his shoulder while running down the sidelines and run over that CB or cut back inside instead of running out of bounds. Meanwhile, Michael Turner has 147 yards rushing on 10 carries (a little over 1/3 of the amount Benson had).

RE: Wolfe talk on the Bears board
Snoopy, please...if you truly believe that thomas jones would have made a difference in tonight's, or any bears game so far this year, you are out of your mind...benson is getting crushed in the backfield, and although i fully admit that he is NOT running to his full potential, thomas jones isnt good enough to make up for how bad the line has been...not a chance..and for the record, jones is barely averaging more yards per carry than benson this year...i dont get this "we shouldnt have traded jones" logic...walter payton wouldnt have rushed for 80 yards tonight under these circumstances...come on...

It's called an offensive line. The Chargers have a good one and the Bears don't.

THANK YOU FLAMES...

although, that isnt taking anything away from turner at all...he is a beast! but benson is NOT as bad as his stats have indicated..anyone who watched him average MORE YARDS PER CARRY than jones in the second half of last season knows what he is capable of...but for whatever reason, the line isnt playing to their potential and neither is he. Lots of football left though

Btw, if the line is so bad and Cedric isn't getting the truck-sized holes he needs then why continue to stay with him? The Bears need a RB who can make people miss, block, and make big plays. Benson is not that player. 63 yards rushing is not enough for an offense that bases most of its success on the ability to run the ball.

Oh yeah, there's no question Turner is a stud. No denying that.

Same line, sure. But it was already an old line last year. Now all of them are a year older and it's showing that they're old.

And the offensive line argument doesnt even work when comparing jones and benson...as i stated before, in my opinion, benson OUT-PERFORMED jones in the second half of last year while sharing carries...what the hell makes you think jones would have made ANY difference whatsoever this season so far snoopy?
