holder?
ok, help me understand this....

why is our starting wr holding for PAT's? I was under the impression that the holder was usually a back up that was unlikely to get hurt...second string qbs or punters....why, with the vulnerabilty of wr's by nature, would HE be our holder?

I cant understand this....what am i missing

This decision indirectly lost us this game....

RE: holder?
I didn't see the game, so I might be off in my comment here. I agree with you about the vulnerability of a WR, but since the backup holder is a safety, maybe there's a reason it wasn't Morris.

I don't know. I got the impression that Fontana did a great job just corraling the snap on the first one, and Nendick just missed #2.

To me, the blame has to go with the kicker, if not totally on the first, then on the second.

You use the guy who does the best job.. sometimes that's a starting WR. If no one else can hold as well you have to use what you have at your disposal. (which obviously Fontana had some troubles, considering Nednick's only missed two in his entire career, then missed two on one day)

On the first one, Nendick had very little chance. He had made his step, came to complete stop, then kicked it. It was amazing that he kicked it as good as he did. By the way, I think the snapper has done a good job all year, this was just a high one, it happens.

The second miss, I couldn't tell what happened. It just looked strange. It didn't miss by much.
