RE: Locksley
I'm all for locksley. I love the illini offense with the option attack. We do have damarcus grady so it could work. Plus the guy is an awesome recruiter and to bring a team back that's what is most important. The illini are a prime example of that

I wouldn't mind getting a guy from U of I.

Of course when we get a coach we have to look at recruiting ties, and a coach from IN STATE would be a big deal. Would he come to NIU? Or is his name getting too hot for us now and could he get a job BCS?

Of course assuming Joe Novak leaves. And if joe is gone I'm all for raiding down south.

Well, the last time we "raided down south" it didn't work out too well 03-banghead But, I really like his credentials, playing safety and starting as a defensive coach. I suspect that if Joe retires, Phillips may aim a bit higher like he did with Patton.

RE: Locksley
I would love to see Locksley coaching the red and black, but I think he will stick out with this team for another year and then take over a major college program.
