OK fans, speak up. What will take the team you root for into the Super Bowl next season?

Panther fan - A consistant quarterback that creates a true passing threat. Delhome is a great player and has done wonders for our team this year but it would definitely be a great snag to get a more talented QB. And maybe another reciever.

Of course this is no time to focus on the offseason. We're still in the postseason baby! :drink:

have you taken your medication? Patrick Surtain is great, delhomme is decent/mediocre.

Falcons fan...

First, we need a coach.

Then, we need to get a secondary.

If we get a good coach and improve our secondary, we'll be a contender next year. Assuming Vick stays healthy, of course.

Time for the Texans:

1. Draft Sean Taylor or Will Smith. Both would fill major needs for the Texans.

2. Take a chance on a young center in the second round.

3. Sign as a free agent a decent offensive guard.

4. Wait for Carr, Davis, and Andre to become one of the best offenses in the league.

The Texans don't need a lot but time. They have a lot of young players that will mesh and have a real shot at the postseason next year. Hopefully.

I should have said "a great player for the Panthers."

I think everyone knows what team I root for. But in order for them to reach the Super Bowl, as much as I hate to say it, I think we need another quarterback. Quincy has had plenty of opportunities to prove himself but he hasn't stepped up when it really mattered. I'm thinking that they should stick with him for another year and see what happens. If he doesn't stay consistent next year, I say bring in a replacement.

Second, we need a running back. Keep Richie Anderson though...he was a surprisingly good runner for us this year. Hambrick was like Quincy...could not step up his game when it was really needed.

Third, we need to perhaps pick up someone for our secondary. Either that, or get the referees off of Terrance Newman's back.

Maddox was definitely the most overrated QB going into this season. The Steelers also need a running back.

I agree. I've pulled really hard for Quincy with the Cowboys, but I don't see him taking Dallas farther than the first round of the playoffs. The guy just can't win the big games. For me, as a Georgia fan, I only think of one stat when I think of Quincy: 1-7 vs. Tennessee, Florida and Georgia Tech. :bang:

I think Dallas should take a chance and go after Kurt Warner. If he regains his old form, Dallas would win the Super Bowl next year.

i disagree

even thought the bus is on his way out, he can still pound it in on the goalline and Zereoue is a great young back. what they need most is a much better more solid o-line.

i just saw on their site that they released tim lewis(d-coordinator), i think that is a real bad move. he was a great coach. im sure he'll turn up somewhere as a head coach, not necessarily in the nfl

Bettis + Zereoue can get Pittsburgh to the playoffs, but can't win them a super bowl. Similar to the situation Dallas has, the talent they have can get them to the playoffs, but in Dallas and Pittsburgh "just the playoffs" is not good enough.

right, because the bucs and pats had big-time backs when they won, didn't they?

i dunno man, i think the order of concern for the steelers should look something like this...

1. o-line
2. d-coordinator
3. qb
4. defensive backfield
5. te
6. offensive backfield

We got what we need and his name is Joe Gibbs. 04-bow 04-bow 04-bow

We do need some help at running back and on the D-line, maybe a safety too.

If they can get a QB as good as Tom Brady, or a defense as good as TB to carry them through the season, then you can get away with it. But I agree with you that a big time defensive coordinator is critical to their success. Unless Pitsburgh gets a guy like Peyton Manning, Bettis and Z wont be enough.
