He made 38 stops for a shutout against playoff bound Boston. He's posting .934% SV%, a 2.25 GAA, tied for 5 in SOs, and faces 34 shots per game. All while playing for the inconsistant Florida Panthers. This guy's gonna be good.

Vezina candidate? Or even potential Hart?

Nah. He is good but not that good. He would have to have a serious run for that to happen.

I say he could be Vezina. He's number 2 in SV%, tied for 3rd in SOs, is number one in SA with more than 300 more shots than second, and is 13th in wins, and he plays for Florida.

Now the holder for most faced shots in a season with an NHL-record 2,219 on the season. That broke the mark of 2,214 set by Toronto's Felix Potvin in 1996-97. And he still has four more games.

Luongo has also set career highs for wins (24), goals-against average (2.36 GAA), shutouts (7) and save-percentage (.933).

Incredible. And he's only 26.
