If it goes through, excellent trade for Denver. Cover corner who is the best in the league, and I think Griffin will be a great back in Denver. Portis is a excellent back who will do well in Washington, but defense wins.

Dan Snyder is a little nuts. Portis is a very good back, but it is not coincidence that Denver has had 1,000 yard rushers in Davis, Gary, Anderson & Portis, and may do it again with Griffin (who tore up the Colts in what I believe was his only start).

Snyder's one salvation this offseason may be that the Eagles out-bid him for a consistently banged up Jevon Kearse. Paying much less money for a potential stud DT Cornelius Griffin works out much better for the Skins. I'd be wary of Shawn Springs and big money, but that's not Snyder's MO.
