No, he just started in the Championship game and won a ring. Means he absolutely had nothing to do with it.

JJ drew off defenders which opened up the paint. Last time I checked that was a non-scoring role. And he penetrated then kicked the ball out to the wings with shooters like Ewing and DJ. And JJ didn't throw up threes because he thought he was all that, but because Coach K wants shooters to shoot. By the way, JJ is gonna turn out twice the basketball player Drew ever was or will be.

JJ has no inside game...

You did say that duhon sucks...

Because Duhon averaged a higher % of his team's assists than Blake did, Blake is better...

My what you can learn from a Maryland fan!! 04-bow

Richardson is listed by some sources as 6'9... I distinctly remember him being listed as 6'9 when Duke played FSU @ FSU.

COMPLETE STAT - Duhon, during ACC play, led the nation and ACC in assists. COMPLETE STAT

Dear God, don't even begin to tell me that Duhon had anything to do with the success of Duke when they last won the title. Even if he started, my arguement was pointed at Duhon's Point guard abilities (or there lack of). I know he didn't play over JWill. I also know that the Battier-flop, JWill, and Dunleavy were the reasons for the success.

Now listen good boys. That Duke team was very good and deserved to win the title. That team was loaded with good players who did well in school. Even as a MD fan, I was very impressed with Dunleavy his entire career at Duke.

Selling me on Duhon just ain't gonna happen. Selling me on an obsolete team (as they are now in comparison to good Duke teams) ain't gonna happen.

The team lists Richardson at 6'7 as well as the ACC. If you watched them play MD your eyes could tell you he is shorter. Dumb point.

JJ has no inside game.

Because Duhon has a higher assist percentage for his team than Blake does does not make Blake a better point guard, Blakes numbers do. Because Duhon has a higher assist percentage for his team and that team has the 8th best assist percentage in the ACC, that means they play selfish ball. If you are really going to compare Duhon to Blake, you are living in a dream world. Duhon would have to play another 3-4 years for Duke to come close to Blake's numbers (and I'm sure if there is a program that could get away with that, it's Duke).

Again I will say that Duhon is a solid point guard who can't shoot. He does handle the ball. He does pass. He can't score. Gilcrest can do all those things while scoring. He is only going to be a soph and I would be willing to make a bet with any of you Duke fans that Gilcrest's numbers after his senior year will be substaintially greater than Duhon's. We already know Duhon won't get within half the numbers Blake has. So if you want to stick with your PG, please do. No one else would want him.

As for your complete stat....how on earth are you going to hang on to that? Do you think they give awards to players for "at some point" they did this? No way in hell. The assist leader this year was the guy who lead in assist this year (I believe TJ got that honor).

My what you learn about speculation from a Duke fan.

Common now. The only reason he drew defenders was because he shoots every time he touches the ball. I'm not going to lie. That boy can flay out shoot the ball. As for the his inside game, he doesn't have any. Dribbling to the foul line and then back out doesn't count towards any type of inside game.

I would never compare Drew to JJ. They are two different types of players. Jones was the one trying to make that analogy. I am not dumb enough to compare a 4 year starter to a 1 year starter. If you want to compare them then all you have to go on is this year. If that's the case, then Drew lead JJ in all these following categories:

Scoring
Field Goal Percentage
Assists
Steals
3 point FG percentage

JJ lead in:

Free throw percentage
3's made - 3 more than Drew

Any comparing is ridiculous.

It really isn't a Duke based board. More Tech and Maryland fans than Duke. Once Nate gets in a heated discussion, everyone of his Duke friends comes and helps out. Its just a way to help each others back. 03-razz

-Duke fans: Nate, T-Monay, Coach Doh, Tasha(the nice redhead)
-Tech fans: Me, GTS(admin), JoltinJacket, CYHammerComp., gtballgirl, emme, metro, tdb, gtchemorceptors, JiggyMcBee, timpoulos, and others I left out.
-Maryland fans: DamascusTerp, BlakesGirl, Goldfish(where has she been), gevingrt, Jenibu, and I think Hannibal is.

Well thanks for clarifying that. Just so you know, I too like Tech and see a bright future in Bosh (if he sticks around).

Its quite funny actually. This board was started by 2 Maryland fans(TurtleProtector and drunkterp), and both have left now.

We all hope Bosh sticks around. If he does, Tech will be a force in the ACC next year.

I'm very fond of The Fridge. Great coach. I still ponder over why we had a head coach that didn't know as much as the OC. :bang:

Well what's the word on Bosh? I read in all the draft predictions that he will go pretty high. That alone kind of says that he is interested at least in seeing where in the draft he would fall (kind of like Mike Sweetney). Not looking good unless he looks bad in the draft.

G Techs loss of the fridge has been the best gain MD has ever seen. Sorry for your loss (not really).
