ok stat boy..just look at the contibutions each made to their team...if you honestly think mama's boy was a bigger factor for his team, then more power to you...only time will tell who will be better...

and btw...your logic on stats is working against you...less minutes equals inflated stats....you are a basketball player, right? you should know that...

less minutes don't = inflated stats... that's only in extreme situations... like if player A plays 40 MPG... and player B plays 4 MPG... you can't compare... THAT is an inflated situation.

But when the disparity is 3 or 4 MPG... the player with less minutes is at a big disadvantage.

BTW... what does NCM mean to Maryland? An emphatic dunk every now and again? Maybe... what does Gilchrist mean? A mean face? ooooh I'm scared of him... or maybe he'll stick me in the face... ask Steve Blake.

Shav is one of the most skilled big men in the ACC along with Danielus @ WFU. If you think NCM and Gilchrist have had better years... you're dumber than I though buddy.

Wow... you really are dumb...

He didn't play because he's probably 15-20 pounds under playing weight, and needs to get some bulk to be able to bang with people down low. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that.

pansy. If you really wanna get out there and play, you'd do it. MJ isn't in the same body frame he was in when he left, but he's still playing. If his best excuse is that he is "too light", then he needs to quit. Its on thing if you're hurt, its another if you don't want to play.

You guys are idiots. It's not that he didn't want to play. Of course he did.

It's that he wouldn't be nearly as effective as someone like Shelden, Horvath or Sanders because they are all much more filled out than Shav.

Why didn't he play at the end of the year? He wasn't 100%. He was probably 90%... but there were others who were 100%, and it wasn't worth risking reaggravating an already tender injury.

Know what you're f'ing talking about.

If he wanted to play he would have. He didn't. May played, he could've easily been injured again, but he wanted to play, and did.

Is that the kind of logic they're teaching you where you go to school?

Last time I checked... it's the COACH who decides who plays when. K knew that Shav was out of shape... not 100%... and didn't play him late in the season. K is a hall-of-famer... you aren't... K knew that Shav is under his playing weight... anyone with half a brain knew before this season started that it would take Shav at least a year to gain size.

NCM is a physical freak... and he still had a worse season than Shav. :bang:

And Sean May played 14 minutes post-injury. Doh! probably thought that with May, UNC might be able to win the ACC tourney, thus making the NCAA. Coach K didn't need Shav to get into the NCAA... so he saved Shav... just like Doh! did with May after he knew there was no NCAA for UNC.

Sean May played 14 minutes. WOW!
