Sources: Bowling Green chooses Orr By Andy Katz

Bowling Green will name former Seton Hall coach Louis Orr as its next men's basketball coach on Wednesday, multiple sources told ESPN.com.

Orr will replace Dan Dakich, who left after posting a 13-18 season, 3-13 in the MAC East. Dakich had been at Bowling Green for 10 years.

Orr was fired last year by Seton Hall, despite leading the Pirates to the NCAA Tournament twice in three seasons. Orr, a former assistant at Syracuse and head coach at Siena, had moderate success at Seton Hall, where he was 80-69 over five seasons.

Orr's hiring makes the MAC one of the most diverse conferences in Division I. Orr becomes the eighth African-American coach in the 12-team league. He's also the latest former head coach hired in the league as Northern Illinois hired former Colorado coach Ricardo Patton last month.

The school is expected to announce the hire later Wednesday.

Dealing with the new coaching styles is gonna make MAC basketball really interesting in 2007-08. Never a dull moment in the MAC.
