The future or not?
http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=2820862

The vision is what intrigues me.

It would be easy to kick WMU when it hasnt shown such vision. However, my thoughts drift to "what if?" What would it take?

And excuse my ignorance, but what type of $ is brought in to a MAC school and the league for making the "field of 65"? Down to 32? To 16?

How is that money then allocated once in the hands of the school? Mandated by Grandholm? The conference? The trustees? the AD?

How do the dance dollars compare to the Int'l bowl? GMAC bowl? the Detroit Bowl?

Are WMU's hands tied re football not being a BCS school? I know the bowl exposure is limited, but what constitutes a BCS school? the conference?

Just thinking out loud as I read and thought about the linked article. I mean SIU is no great shakes of a educational institution. But on the other hand you cant call it even remotely a "jock factory". So what would it take to get WMU to that level or zip code?
