Tonight's Attendance
Well tonight saw an improvement over last week with an attendance of 21,117.

Attendance is going in the right direction, now lets see if the product on the field will continue to move forward.

While the numbers have been a little lackluster, Ive been impressed with the energy at Huskie stadium, especially from the students. The atmosphere in the 2nd half has been good too.

West side looked very good...impressive with the number that turned out...definitely outnumbered the east side today

At least the crowd seemed to be more into the game & especially so much of the second half compared to last week's 2nd half wake.

Could the PA get much worse?

I got some shots if the east side, the corners were empty, being on teh west side its hard to judge the west. it looked full, but who knows.

Sat on the westside for the first time this week.. realized how much of a difference it is that the visiting team is now on the West Side. I think this is a huge difference and probably helps the visiting team a lot. The student section was rough.

Hence the reason they changed it. Brutal=crossing the line between appropriate and inappropriate behavior.

Did you guys see the Toledo game? They too had empty corners(as well as other areas)-and they played a BCS team! I guess what I am saying is what will our attendane be if we get another BCS team in here. I can pretty much tell you there WON'T be empty corners. Did you see what Miami got for their game? 10,500 or so. Now, I am not saying don't complain about our attendance but look at it realistically from a casual fans point of view. Our commercials say we are one of the "big boys" but people see the MAC schedule and laugh. Many think it is Div 1AA despite saying otherwise(hey, 1AA SIU beat Indiana and MAC teams can't). We do need to attract better teams to DeKalb to prove we can draw. We need it because half or more of the current MAC teams will fail the attendance issue and the MAC will be no more.

The studetns were jammed into the middle sections and along the railing. If they all were seated normally the corners would have been fuller.
Nice crowd but could have been better.

I was surprised we had as many as we did after the turnout we had for the opener. I wish we had more but honestly can't complain too much. Seemed like the crowd was a lot better then last week. I brought a group to their first NIU game ever and they are planning to goto every game now, they all had a blast. Can't wait for next week.

It should be jammed so tightly that people can't move. It was like that my freshmen year (2003) at every game!

I agree, 2003 was nuts, esp the Maryland (unrivaled for atmosphere as far as I'm concerned), Iowa St, and Homecoming games.
