Observations:

1. Toledo has handed us our nuts for over a decade running. It is long past due that we put together an inspired game plan and pull out a victory against those guys.

2. Unless we beat Toledo one of these days, Joe Novak's tombstone is going to read "He turned around a wayward football program and was class gentleman, but hells bells he could not beat Toledo and garner a MAC title."

3. For all you 3 Stooges fans, ever recognize how Tom Amstutz bears frightening resemblance to Curley-Joe, the guy that took over from Joe who took over from Shemp (who died of a heart attack n the back of a cab while getting a blowjob from a hooker) who took over for Curly?

Y'know, I never really liked Shemp before. Now he's my hero.

I betcha Shemp was doing a lot of "hee beep beep beep" in the back of that cab before he flatlined.

So do you think that tickets will still be available?
If it is a sell out, (which unfortunately I doubt because of it being mid week) butif it is contact me I will have some of my season tickets that I will not being using.

Well, as I tell my kids when they want something. Do what is right and you don't have to worry about the negative consequences - thought that is not how I say it to my 3 & 5 year old.

G - get good grades and your Mom doesn't care if you go. What's the problem.

Get use to it, nothing changes in life. In the real world of work you may have a boss say that you need to close the deal before you go home. You think they care if you are going to miss an NIU game.

You may be in grad school and have class. The professor isn't going to cancel class for the NIU game. (Believe me - this is the case, my NIU MBA class meets that night).

Good luck on your report card!

just FYI, i bought my tickets today and they still have a ton left, i realize it's still a few weeks from the game. the ticket salesperson said they didnt expect a sellout(hope she is proven wrong). hopefully we will both win our games leading up to the matchup, that could definitely help attendance. Any questions about tickets, the number is 419-537-GOLD. good luck and anyone heading this way the 16th have a safe trip.

A sellout at Toledo would be near 32K. A November weekday game that is on ESPN2 and is not against Bowling Green or a BCS school will be hard to sellout. If we go into that game needing to win it to win the MAC West Division title then it could very well sellout though, but it is too early to tell at this point.

Incidentilly, I think fans our more worried about getting past CMU this weekend right now. We sold out of our allotment that CMU gave us earlier in the week.....on Monday to be exact. Fans have been calling CMU's ticket office since to get tickets. If we win that game, then I would expect the tickets for the NIU game to start selling.

I am bringing three. It will be my second trip to Toledo. Not my favorite place in the world, but a cool stadium nonetheless.

Aahhh! It the fans like you that will make victory that much sweeter. Is lot 10 open to the public? I remember being out on the other side of campus the last time I was there and there were more NIU fans than Toledo fans!

This was after I went to a party the night before w/ a bunch of Toledo kid's that said no school in the MAC ever came anywhere close to a game day atmosphere like UT. :snore:

Obviously they have not been to Dekalb on game days the last couple of years! 04-rock 04-cheers

Lot 10 parking on game day costs a $500 yearly donation.

You can walk across Lot 10 for $10. 03-wink

Lot 10 is not a public parking lot. And yes, most UT tailgating happens there. The public (General Admission) lots are not going to have many UT fans parking in them....at least the UT fans that tailgate.......so of course you are going to see more tailgating there from the opponent's fans.

I personally haven't seen tailgating at every MAC stadium so I can't say it is the best, but Lot 10 at the Glass Bowl is up there with the top MAC schools' tailgating atmospheres.
