I was just looking at the Senior Bowl roster (http://www.seniorbowl.com) for this Saturday, in which The Burner will be playing. His North team will be coached by the Cincinnati Bengals' staff. Turner will wear his familiar #32. Unfortunately, there are 5 RB's on the North squad. But hopefully, Michael will still get to show his stuff. Josh Harris from BG is also on the North team.

During the afternoon show on ESPN yesterday, Dan McNeil was reading from a scouting report from the Senior Bowl and they said that Michael Turner had very good north-south speed, but that he lacked agility and athleticism. It will be interesting to see where he is projected to be drafted after this game.

His abilty to catch the ball will be key. Not many other RBs do this well in college, but in a good pro offense it is a must.

Found this under the Senior Bowl link at espn.com....

Editor's note: Practice notes will be updated daily and a final report will be completed on Friday, Jan. 23.

All Michael "The Burner" Turner needed was a chance to show his stuff. After teammate Thomas Hammock was sidelined in 2002, Turner took the MAC by storm and rushed for 1,915 yards and 19 touchdowns. To prove it was no fluke, he returned in 2003 to post 1,648 yards and 14 touchdowns giving him the most rushing yards of any college rusher over the past two years.
With the success of former MAC players like quarterback Chad Pennington and wide receiver Randy Moss in the NFL, Michael Turner would be a good candidate to fill the running back void with his consistency and his scary combination of power and speed that has drawn comparisons to Bo Jackson.
