Just like you can't teach speed, you can't teach height. I think it important that Hughes get alot of PT for the remainder of the season, if for no other reason than to give him confidence heading into next year. In the offseason he needs to put on about 20 pounds of muscle, and find himself a summer league where he can play against top notch competition. If it were all to work out, he has THREE more years to DOMINATE!!!

He has a frame that makes it seem as if he can add a few more pounds. I think what he has to do is prove he wants it this summer. Put on the weight and work on his game against other tall players. I'd like to see him in a league that really tests his post moves and maybe teaches him a few more.

BUT I STILL HAVE HOPE!
The party is over for this team. What a pathetic performance in the first half against CMU. Smallwood off the team for two games!!!! No talent left on the floor except for Smith. Fouls. bad passes, poor shooting...what else is left for this pathetic excuse for a basketball team...

 Miami??? Who are they dominating?
We're winning by an average of 12.7 ppg. WMU is second at 12.6.
Miami is 5th at 2.1.
They currently are 2 games back of us with a trip to Kent coming up.
We are 5-1 on the road, 5-0 at home.
Are you sure you meant Miami?
:D
Ax, you almost lost to us the other night. :D

85 Alum, those of us who have seen Hughes play have seen him demonstrate all the qualities you claim he is lacking. He can shoot the jumper, he has been blocking shots on the other end and he has some decnt post moves. His limited PT and fouls have really limited his ability to assert himself on the boards and defense.

The season is almost certainly over, but why not make an effort to remain optimistic about the future? What's the harm? If they suck next year, they suck, but I believe there are indications they may not. Maybe I'm wrong, but I won't find out until next season and that's a long way off...

Hmmm, CMU up 80-74 w 2mns. Looks like we'll be nailing down that 13th seed in the tournament.... 03-lol

That's it for Huskie basketball for me this year! I was going to go to the game this coming Saturday, but I think I'll take a pass. I'll probably go instead to a local park district pee wee game. I'll probably see fewer turnovers and I know I'll see better free throw shooting. See you in November, Huskies! Hopefully, the new guys will give you some semblance of a team. Bring on football!
