Munice StarPress reported:

local group is seeking sponsors for new 2004 bowl game in Indy with third MAC tie in to be presented to ncaa comitee on April 20.
I see another tie in for sponsors: Motor City and Auto racing- carts-penzoils etc....

Eli Lilly is headquartered in Indy. Perhaps it could be the Prozac/Oxycontin/Rush Limbaugh bowl.

I still like my idea of the Big MAC Bowl sponsored by McDonald's. Since McDonald's is headquartered in Oak Brook, we could have the game here in Chicago in Soldier Field. :withstupid:

To be fair and balanced here.....

We could have the Al Franken "Lying Lier Bowl"........held in San Fransico, and if your team loses you can sue and more than likely get the 9th circuit court of San Fran to just overturn the score of the game based on how they interpreted it.

No lie about Rush and Oxycontin. Documented proof, just ask his lawyer.

But Lilly would still be a good sponsor, and Rush could come out at halftime and lead everyone in a chorus of "ask your doctor if drugs are right for you!"

First off, I hate to break it to you, I am not Smetko or whoever it is that you disagreed with in a past life message board. I came over from the ESPN boards at the behest of NIUFred.....feel free to call me that but I am not the person who you think I am, and I don't really care for any of your little political garbage and comments.

You should know more than anyone else that this is a NIU sports related board, not a spout off about our political views board. I could really care less what you believe and who you believe......I get enough political commentary in my life from the TV and radio....if you want to talk about NIU football or basketball, or just in general sports that's fine, but when you start talking about politics, as a rule I get aggitated. And trust me if someone comes on here and talks about Bill O'Reily and how great he is I will be the first to tell them what I think of him.

That being said........Bill Maher got kicked off his show Politically Incorrect on ABC 7, in 2001 for making the comment that the guys who flew the planes into the twin towers were bigger heroes than our military who just lob missles at countries. Heroes is a bad choice of words......especially when they killed 3000 innocent people don't you think? That the fact that is a border line communist. That being said, go on a political message board and talk about how you hate Rush Limbaugh.......

My original comment was a joke about the sponsor and name of the hopefully soon to be certified Indy Bowl. I never said I hated Rush Limbaugh.

My signature is my signature, and it changes from time to time. But you went "political" by taking a shot at Al Franken.

I made a single, joking comment, with some legitimacy (Eli Lilly is headquartered in Indy). You made a political comment.

As for Bill Maher, I'm taking your advice and leaving political arguments alone on this board. I suggest you do the same - this post was your second political mini-rant on this thread.
