NOTE: Frankly, I think the polls are a slap in the face of The BEast. We have 3 teams in the top 5, and 4 in the top 10. Yet neither poll has a BEast team ranked #1, and the ESPN/USA poll has our teams ranked #3, #4, and #5. What makes #1 or #2 better than our best? I wonder where either of those 2 teams would be currently in the conference race if they played in The BEast. I just wonder...

RE: This week's polls
No matter how you slice it, two one seeds and two two seeds. Since the BE two seeds would go to different brackets from the one seeds, that means any non-BE team that's making it to the title game has to go through two BE teams to win it all- should seeding hold up. (Because the two one seeds will come from the east and west side of the bracket)

RE: This week's polls
Wow. Seeing Pitt (#23) behind Cornell (#22) just looks weird... but awesome!

Other thoughts:

Who the heck voted for UConn? ... I have no problem with Notre Dame getting a couple votes, as long as that's all it is... I actually would like to see a little more love for Marquette. I tend to think the coaches do a better job at this than the AP, so I agree with them throwing Marquette a tiny bit of love in the "others receiving votes." ... USF got thrown a vote or two as its reward for that little winning streak. It'll probably disappear next week but they deserved some recognition for the streak, however brief it may have been... the razor thin margin between Kentucky & 'Cuse (a mere 3 points) in the coaches poll continues to torment me. Oh so close to being the undisputed #2 (and a bad K-State OT period from being #1).
