Shane Edward's status
Alburqueque cut their roster to 12 yesterday. Shane made the cut, but they still have to cut down to 10 players by the time the season starts. Shane and one other player on the current roster are listed as "tryout" players- I guess, basically a free agent. All the other players were either drafted, allocated, or are returning players. I assume the team will want to end up with the "best" players, regardless of how they got to training camp. I think Shane will be one of the best 10.

Shane has alot of potential and I hope he makes the final 10, especially since he did start playing organize ball until late in high school. I'm rooting for him. He has the body and potential skills to make it to the league if he continues to develop his game.
It will certainly be helpful in our recruiting to have another player in the pros, and hopefully, at some point, Shane could make it to the NBA. Good job Shane. Keep it up. We miss you, but appreciate what you contributed to our program.
