General Admission $10 for Milligan exhibition
I wish they would have set prices around $5 for the two exhibition games to garner some interest in the program for folks who would not usually attend a Bucs game. I, for one, am balking at the price tonight simply out of principal. I will gladly pay the full general admission price when we play an opponent worthy of a two digit admission price. Anyway, GO BUCS!

$10 will break the bank but $5 won't? Really?

Depends how big your bank is and how many folks your bringing with you. Perhaps we're all not as fortunate as you.

RE: General Admission $10 for Milligan exhibition
there's a lot of people who spend way more than $10 on a night at the club or on cigarettes in a week. don't know for sure but I bet most programs charge their regular price for exhibitions games and it's likely far more than $10. It's unfortunate that the mentality around here is that $10 is too much for a division 1 basketball game. I know it's not Carolina or Duke or Ut, and not trying to speak for Pitt, but it's thinking like that, being just one of the reasons people say this is such a bad sports area. $10 per person for a night of entertainment is not too much.

Interestingly, all the exhibition general admission seating (upper deck) for UT's exhibition game is $5. For ETSU's game at UT, the same seats are $10.

Must say I am not going tonight also because of the price. I will go to many of the other games, but wont pay $10 to see Milligan. I too think it should probably be free admission.

While we are on this topic, I had considered buying season tickets until I did the math. Prices for season tickets in the upper level where you can buy individual tickets to each game were just way too high for ETSU, especially after you are forced to give to BASA.

I hope no one was basing their decision on the thrill of seeing "freakin Milligan" but instead on watching the Bucs in actual competition.

I'm not going to argue the difference between $10 or $5 to anybody. Fact is, for the overwhelming majority of people in the US, either one is a small price to pay for a night of entertainment. We're definitely not in the range where people should start balking at coming to games, because you can't have prices much cheaper without playing the games in the dark.

And you considered this "actual competition?"

Atleast we didn't lose to Milligan like ranked Syracuse lost to Le Moyne College.

The fact is that this board is the very small percent of the population in the Tri Cities area that cares enough about ETSU basketball to go to a forum like this. If seeing ETSU in an exhibition game isnt worth $10 to some of us, its unlikely that we will get a significant portion of the general public to pay it.

And like I said, I was prepared to buy 3 season tickets, but the pricing is just silly to me.

Not that it makes any difference to me, but for the sake of discussion, I heard on the sports talk radio station here in Raleigh that UNC is only charging $10 for their first exhibition game this year.

I just checked and found one can go to a Duquesne game (Atlantic 10) for $9.

Are we really comparing prices among schools when all the prices are between $0 and $10? I guess I'll just give up on hoping for football's return or a renovated dome/new hoops arena if everybody thinks those kinds of things can get done for free.
