Nice job in the loss for CDR. Going to make a lot of teams regret before it's over I think.

Yeah, he scored and played well, but his team got killed tonight. They are now 0-3 and starting pg devin harris is hurt and could miss some games.

He played no defence and the Nets as a team played no defence.

Did you get to see the game? Was it on TV or do you have the NBA package? I would like to have seen it, as it is hard to find the Nets on National TV. Kind of like the Grizz.

I have no idea if he played D or not, but giving that many points it is obvious somebody wasn't. Namely whoever was guarded Blatche or Arenas.

I saw most of the 2nd half via internet and the net's defense didn't look that good.

Right now NBA League Pass is free for the first week of the season. If you live in Memphis and have Comcast, it is in the 460's.

Yup, he was -14 on the floor. No one on his team was good on D though.

I have the Pass, just to watch the Grizzlies. I watched most of this game because all the football games on at the time sucked. CDR was brilliant. He definitely belongs in the NBA.

Looks like a rematch from 2007, when the Tigers faced McGee and Nevada in New Orleans.

Nevada and Creighton were both pretty good teams that year. Hated that they stuck 3 really good non-BCS teams in the same bracket in N.O. that year. I think all 3 of us could have made noise.

Where are all the people that said CDR made a mistake going pro a year early?

CDR needs to pick it up on D. I saw the last game and he was awful. Glad he did better this game.

Right here. I still think he missed out on some money by not waiting one more year. I think he was a 1st rounder in this last draft if he'd have waited.

RE: CD freaking R!
I don't think staying another year was going to improve his draft stock. He was a first team all American on a team that shoulda won a national title. Staying 4 years didn't help Doz and Tone although you can argue it helped Dorsey and Carney. Coming out early and getting with a team that brought him along slow helped him in my opinion. It's just going to get him to his next contract a year sooner. He is going to avg double figures this year and he will explode in year three. In two years his pay will be in the 7-9 million a year range.

Chris Douglas=Roberts did indeed do the best he could in the time he was at for the University of Memphis Tigers, which was for three years. A player in the National Basketball Team three years to develop who he is in my opinion.

It still comes down to total dollars. The difference between the 10th pick and the forty pick is huge. The difference between a teams first pick and second pick is also huge. Just because a guy has some success his second year doesn't make the dollar difference change. Maybe he will have two good years and get a big contract after his third year, maybe he won't. It is almost always best to have an advantage at the start and being drafted 1-10 is an advantage. However, he made his choice and I wish him luck and hope he makes it big in the NBA and beyond.
