Should UNO drop sports?
A high school chess match gets more fans than our basketball games. Should we give up the dream and just pursue academics? I come across alumni all the time wearing LSU gear and they could careless about UNO. Sad but true.

UNO football would be a great addition to the SBC. The baseball team went to an NCAA Regional last year. They've got good basketball, they just need a new coach I think..
We have never had strong fan support accept for when Floyd was here for basketball. We have a rich tradition in baseball but alas no fans. After Katrina UNO could use the money we waste on sports for academics. I wouldn't expect a Troy fan to understand since you guys are football U. I would have liked my daughter to stay in the city but when she was accepted to La Tech it was a no brainer. UNO academics was great before Katrina but now we are not very good. Give up on athletics and put the money into academics. If the state has its way we will not have choice anyways.
