Way OT - NBA Cheerleaders Power Rankings (Enjoy, Thrill)
Saw one of these put up a few years ago and since I was kinda bored anyway and as some on this board who have met me may know, I love me some cheerleaders too 02-13-banana

Without further ado, the first (and probably only) installment of the 2008-2009 NBA cheerleaders power rankings... I speak of playoffs at some point within the comments below. This refers to the annual poll NBA.com does to see who the most popular cheerleading team is in the NBA.

WARNING: Some of you may find some of the comments below a little on the incorrect side...

1) Orlando Magic - http://www.nba.com/magic/dancers/
Thought they were #1 material last year but somehow didn't get enough votes to make it to the finals vs. the Heat. Better bring in photos or this #1 ranking won't last...

2) New Orleans Hornets - http://www.nba.com/hornets/dance/200809_...tions.html
If we end up at the New Orleans Bowl, any chance any of these ladies will be partying on Bourbon St.?

3) Houston Rockets - http://www.nba.com/rockets/dance/0809_RP...-1664.html
The team that took on Miami in the finals last year returns a lot of veterans, and brings in fresh rookies, and i mean fresh...

4) Dallas Mavericks - http://www.nba.com/mavericks/dance/MeetTeam.html
Yeah, that's two Texas teams in the top 5. How could you not?

5) Phoenix Suns - http://www.nba.com/suns/dance/dancers_un...80813.html
The guys' offensive output is far away from being reminiscient of Suns, but their dance team says otherwise.

6) Milwaukee Bucks - http://www.nba.com/bucks/dance/energee0809_index.html
In the past, you'd have to be thankful that these ladies had to pack on layers after layers of clothing for most of the year. This year, I hope that Wisconsin winter doesn't last as long.

7) Los Angeles Clippers - http://www.nba.com/clippers/dance/spirit.html
At least we know where the Laker Girls' talent is going.

8) New York Knicks - http://kcd.nyknicks.com/
At least Isiah Thomas doesn't manage the dance team. The design of the webpage makes me think otherwise.

9) San Antonio Spurs - http://www.nba.com/spurs/dance/
While their boys, ahem, old men certainly don't look good on the court this year, their fans definitely have something to cheer about!

10) New Jersey Nets - http://www.nba.com/nets/dancer/2008-2009dancers.html
Maybe the smallness of those pictures is fooling with my eyes.

11) Utah Jazz - http://www.nba.com/jazz/dance/2008-09_nu...ncers.html
I'd toss a Mormon joke in here, but I really shouldn't.

12) Portland Blazers - http://www.nba.com/blazers/fans/2008__20...-1179.html
Website is weak, but young upstart teams always capture the hearts of America.

13) Golden State Warriors - http://www.nba.com/warriors/dance/Warrio...Index.html
After a long day of burning and pillaging, the Warriors can happily come home to this.

14) Boston Celtics - http://www.nba.com/celtics/dancers/
Boasts the self-proclaimed tallest cheerleader in the NBA in Courtney, but unfortunately, height won't sit well with 90% of the male population.

15) Miami Heat - http://www.nba.com/heat/dance/index.html
Could easily see why they were popular enough to win enough votes 3 years in a row. But this year, it seems like they have not returned enough of the cast from that veteran team.

16) Denver Nuggets - http://www.nba.com/nuggets/dance/nuggets...index.html
Denver Broncos stole all your cheerleaders? Despite losing about half of its 07-08 team to the Broncos, the Nuggets reload with better eye candy. That one middle school girl in the front row is a bit of a weak link though.

17) Los Angeles Lakers - http://www.nba.com/lakers/lakergirls/index.html
We would come to expect a lot out of the Laker Girls, maybe not as much as we'd expect from Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders, but still, it seems like their standards are low this year 03-nutkick .

18) Washington Wizards - http://www.nba.com/wizards/girls/dance_main.html
Character, commitment, and connection (see site)? Definitely not what we think about when we think cheerleaders.

19) Indiana Pacers - http://www.nba.com/pacers/dance/home_v2.html
Probably not going to Pace your heart anytime this year.

20) Cleveland Cavaliers - http://www.nba.com/cavaliers/dance/caval..._home.html
Last year was a different story. Did all the young girls on last year's team just decide to leave the team?

21) Detroit Pistons - http://www.nba.com/pistons/dance/automotion.html
Is that picture really the best they can do?

22) Minnesota Timberwolves - http://www.nba.com/timberwolves/dancers/
Their cheerleaders are taking on first round exits in the polls as often as the Timberwolves of the late 90's did. But not to worry, the team looks better and better every year...

23) Philadelphia 76ers - http://www.nba.com/sixers/dance/
On the ballcourt, that team has lots of promise. During timeouts and at halftime? Forget about it.

24) Charlotte Hornets - http://www.nba.com/bobcats/lady_cats_080...curPhoto=3
When I was younger, my momma said, "Finish your food, or your wife will have as many blemishes as you have grains of uneaten rice on your plate." And we'll leave it at that.

25) Atlanta Hawks - http://www.nba.com/hawks/danceteam/dance..._Page.html
Last year, the problem was that a lot of them looked a little too old to be in this business. They got the message, but the replacements don't look promising.

26) Chicago Bulls - http://www.nba.com/bulls/dance/luvabulls_0809.html
Too much makeup = a huge turnoff, and given Chicago's minimum age to join their cheerleading team, you have a team of ladies that remind me of grandmother.

27) Memphis Grizzlies - http://www.nba.com/grizzlies/dance/grizz...index.html
Can't put the finger on it, but makes sense why they get blown out in the first round year in, year out.

28) Oklahoma City Thunder - http://www.nba.com/media/thunder/thunder...r_1024.jpg
Have some promise, but can't do without any photos other than this crummy wallpaper.

29) Sacramento Kings - http://www.nba.com/kings/dance/2008_skdt..._home.html
Lame headlines, no pictures of the new team, and the season has already started!

30) Toronto Raptors - NONE
WEAK!!! The one team that still has its 2007-08 team's site on. You have to wonder what they're being afraid of showing.
