Indianapolis, IN (AP) - The real reasons for TCU's moves from CUSA to the Mtn West have been uncovered. TCU while on double secret NCAA probation violated NCAA rules including impersonating a bowl team.
The charge was made after TCU passed on the GMAC Bowl for "academic reasons". According to NCAA guidlines once a team passes on a bowl invitation for academic reasons no other bowl offer can be accepted.
"I'm shocked, we could have rebuilt our program comming off the death penalty, but sending us to the Mtn. West, there is no worse fate." says one unnamed TCU trustee.
Other violations included in the NCAA report were failure to commit to their conference (CUSA), unamusing message board posting by a fan nammed "Wobble" and fraud. The fraud charges come out of a seperate investigation that discovered that a Horned Frog is really not a frog but a lizard.
ESPN college football expert Trev Alberts said, "I think that Bill Calahan will bring back the tradition and the respect that Nebraska had in the past."

Thank you for the recognition of myself and the very fine University that I represent. I am personally sorry that CUSA lost out in the heated competition to have us Frogs in their conference. You can't win em all guys (some of you, can't win any, er SMU).
Please try not to take our departure so hard. Try to forget us if you can. They are really nice folks out west, I doubt they will beat you over the head too much.
