He attended a camp run by a former coaching associate of one of TU's coaches (Coach K, IIRC), and was pointed out to Coach K as a "keeper". He is a very, very good catch. Either he or Jake Hammond (OSU transfer who sat out this year) is expected to push James Kilian and probably end up as his backup. That will also allow us to redshirt Smith and give him a chance to develop physically a little bit and put some muscle mass on his frame.
Thanks for the list. It looks like we got a few BIG OL and DL to help now and a few freshman to help down the road. Next year looks good to me---Congrats to coach K and staff!! 04-cheers
