Not that I dislike UTEP or anything... I trust our Presidents and Chancellors to make the right decision. But I do feel awful for the LA Tech community. They wanted it so bad and they did not get the call. We as Pirates know all too well how rotten that feeling is. We were just there not 6 months ago.

Dawg80, if what you say if true, then best of luck to La Tech. Hope everything works out for your school in the long run.

I have stated that I favor UTEP, and that is the case. I do feel for all the La Tech fans as I believe I know how I'd feel in a similar situation. In fact, we did have a similar situation; Memphis vs Big East...many of us wanted and expected an invite to the Big Least, but it did not come. It hurt, but the sun came up the next day and we're still a viable program in C-USA. La Tech will be fine, it just set your schedule back a season or two.

This should and will be a learning experience for Tech (like it was for Memphis), more money has to be devoted to your program (budget) and facilities. Those two items will jump up and bite you every time.

Again, if its UTEP great, but I still think La Tech will rebound and maybe even be with us in a few seasons. Best to all the Bulldogs!

I picked up the phone and called our AD. I was told that that is simply not the case at all. They do not even vote until Friday and he is still very hopeful that the school presidents who have commited their support will convince a couple others to vote our way.

I refuse to give up the ghost, just yet. If we don't get the invite, I will be the 1st to come over on this board and wish the Miners well. Let's let them vote first!

I will say that I am amazed at the reaction from the fans who have posted on this thread. The CUSA does have some class after all. Thanks for the replys, but Dawg80 is premature.
