STLBlazer: Coach Cal, how many years have you been the head coach at the university formerly known as Memphis State?

STLBlazer: And of out of those 5, how many times have you led your team to the NCAA tournament?
[
STLBlazer: Wouldn't you say that with the money you are being paid, the resources you have at your disposal, and the highly ranked recruiting classes that just two trips isn't good enough?

STLBlazer: Should I rephrase the question for you? Okay, since you have been to the NIT more times with the Tigers than you have the NCAA tournament does that mean you prefer the NIT over the NCAA tournament? Give me two thumbs up if you like being in the NIT the most.

STLBlazer: We heard that Darius Washington had a very hard time dealing with the news that UAB was still in CUSA and that they returned 7 seniors, 6 of which were on the team that beat #1 Kentucky in the 2nd round of the NCAA tournament a few years ago. Exactly how did he take the news that UAB would be the real champ for this coming season?

STLBlazer: Man, looks like he took the news worse than we thought. Exactly how many more NCAA tourney wins does UAB have than you since they hired Mike Anderson and since you took over at Memphis?

STLBlazer: Last season you had several players on your team with questionable backgrounds, including one that had been known to take place in gang related activities. For most people it would be very difficult to communicate with them on a level that they understand, yet you developed a system of communication that worked. We have heard that you used hand signals similar to the gang signs that they would use back home. If you don't mind, could you show us an example of some of these "gang signs"?

STLBlazer: Very interesting.
STLBlazer: You and Rick Pitino had a great rivalry while Louisville was in CUSA. Aside from your similar resumes we have noticed that the two of you have similar hairstyles. We took a poll and found that 63% of college basketball fans think that Rick Pitino has better and greasier hair than you.

STLBlazer: Just kidding. We think that you have better hair and a pretty pink house.

STLBlazer: Now, let's talk about your days as head coach of the New Jersey Nets. There was an incident with a reporter that you threatened to beat up because of an article he wrote about the Nets. Looking back on that incident how does that make you feel now? Does it still fire you up or do you feel ashamed?

STLBlazer: Coach, please calm down. I was just asking a question. I didn't ask you to throw a temper tantrum.

STLBlazer: Oh, so you are going to yell at me and bring Phil Martelli into this? That's it! This interview is over. I wish you the best of luck in the postseason NIT. You're done here pal.
