UAB Band Dad quote
Quote:
I know that compared to the last two seasons I've not been nearly as excited this year. I went out to practice and it charged me up, I found myself getting excited in spite of the experience of the last few years. This board has been nowhere near, not even close to as excited and full of happy expectations as it was last year at this time. Shutting the most loyal Blazer fans you have out of practice given last season's bellyflop is not the smartest move I can think of. We need to be building fans, not locking them out. Watson, or more properly his surrogates who read the board for him, needs to know that even those of us who b*tch and moan about the shortcomings of the team or the coaching decisions in a given game... we're the hardcore. We wouldn't be on this board if we were not. It's not a matter of "don't piss us off" so much as it is that it is pure shortsightedness on the part of the coaching staff to shut out the loyalists. We're down there at the practice field because we love the Blazers and we want to know what's going on, and yes to feel a part of things in some small way. We're not out to hamstring the team or the coaches.

As I stare at the bottom of an empty cognac tumbler, I began to realize that perhaps Watson should stay. Appalled by this epiphany I jumped up from my recliner and stumbled four steps before hitting the ground. As I rolled over onto my back, I felt something deep within my bowels. I came to my feet and my senses almost simultaneously and screamed "Go Blazers!" I went to my bathroom and took a seat upon my porcelain throne in my "thinker" position and had yet another epiphany. Boxers dangling by my ankles, I turned around and looked south, and there it was . . . a turd!
This must be an omen, for it was not the usual greenish-blue fecal remnant that usually follows a night of heavy drinking. Yea, this turd was brown, not just any brown . . . Watson brown. This man must not leave our grasp. However, he must not stay too long or he will begin to break down in the commode and leave skid marks when we try to flush him.

#5 My COCK no longer works!
No really, I woke up this morning and he was dead. I was wondering why at 6am I wasn't awakened by his noise. Anyway, he fell ill after the Georgia loss and died last night. I will miss my COCK! It was a good cock, very special to me, my mother and father gave him to me.
Go Watson. . .Go! (parenthetically speaking, go to the house, you're killing peoples cocks for crying out loud)

Nah, I'll be watching it. Watson has still yet to win a game we aren't supposed to win... unless you count the ECU game as that, which I don't think we should, since it's only retrospective that we actually consider that a game we shouldn't have won. This could be the year.
I kinda thought that for a little while myself. But you have to admit he is off pattern this year. 4 straight losses was a new record...
It is entirely possible that our past mind-numbing mediocrity has now drifted into true soul slaying suckage.

Dear Baby Jesus,
I ask that you bless Watson Brown and find him a new job. A job where he is wanted and where he can be successful. Please take him to a new institution to utilize his talents in a way that we cannot.
Baby Jesus, I ask that you send him to Uzbekistan. They are in need of a football coach. Please make that happen for him.
Amen.
