Trustee says Moore made the right call

Brandon Shields

For the first time in six weeks, Cullman attorney Fess St. John can finally take a deep breath and relax.

St. John, a member of the University of Alabama Board of Trustees, saw a stressful six weeks come to an end Thursday when Alabama introduced Nick Saban as the Crimson Tide

Cullman, now that says alot to me!!!
The ONLY WAY the REAL story can come to light is for a legislative investigation to be mounted that would force the participating men to be put under SWORN OATH to tell the whole truth or face perjury charges if caught in a lie. Since that is highly unlikely to happen, the suspicions will continue to fester that the BofT blocked the growth of the UAB program for the express purpose of pretecting the T-town "home" campus possibilities. If Jimbo Fisher is invited to come to Bama (whether he actually does or not is immaterial) that suspicion will appear to be confirmed.
All the professing of "coincidence" is worth the same value as Sabans repeated statements that he was not going to be the next Bama coach. No one inside the process is ever going to come out and state that they intentionally blocked UAB in order to protect the interests of the "home campus" in a particular coach. They may, however, furtively smile knowingly on the inside.
[quote="bftb"]As far as the job being viewed as one where the coach is quickly put on the hot seat, St. John said he does not expect the new coach to be put in that position.
St. John said.

Do you really think these men would tell the truth under oath? They would either plead the fifth, or continue to lie, because they know no other way.

I mean, come on, they hired proven liar to be the head coach at Alabama. Do you really think they understand anything about integrity, morals or ethics?

Sorry, Mr. St. John.

I don't believe you.
It is also a coincedence that nobody that isn't a cracker will step foot within Cullman county too I guess?
I did graduate from Cullman high school, with St. John's grandson...in the county's defense, it really doesn't live up to it's reputation...it's really not racist...and that sign is an urban legend.

On another note, it's not like he can actually *say* anything about it...he can't exactly be like "Oh yeah we totally blocked UAB from hiring Fisher". Think about it.

However (this coming from a former Cullman resident), I wouldn't put too much stock in their paper.

That sign is now an Urban legend. It wasn't a legend 40 years ago. Nothing against Cullman now for it is as you say. But it wasn't always the case.

Oh and Fess St. John is full of 07-spam

Wait wrong emoticon. He is full of 01-rivals
