loyalty of UAB students. The question was brought about by the News article (sec E, Thurs. Oct 12) about the Oneonta native Bailey twins, Ashley and Maegen, aka "houndstooth hat twins", who were pictured on TV and media reports wearing their "houndstooth" hats at Bama football games. It turns out, according to Knox, that they are both students at UAB, not Bama. I believe his attack was to be taken as "tongue-in-cheek" just making a point we have spoken about on other occasions on Blazertalk that many UAB students, faculty and staff care more about the Tide than about the Blazers.

They care more about Tide football than UAB football...Basketball is a whole different matter...I know that one for a fact!!!
I thought KNox hit the nail on the head. After all they(the twins) are the dummies at the end of the day. UAB is taking their parents money.

I will say to the twins the same thing a Bama fan told me when I was a student and mentioned I was cheered for Bama in football and UAB in basketball. This was before UAB had football.
He said. "We don't need any part time fans"
I took his advice and quit cheering for Alabama. That would be my same advice to these idiotic twins who apparently have only one brain to share, which would make them half wits.

I've told both of them several times that they need to cheer for UAB and stop looking like UAT hookers.
Also, no school has a student body who's 100% for their school. My uncle went to Auburn but is a big UAT fan and my cousin will be going to UAT in the fall but is a huge Auburn fan.

And just where do these "idiotic, half wits" attend college? : )

Here's my excuse: The admissions officer's desk was piled high with paperwork and he placed their admissions applications in the wrong pile.

Book smarts doesn't equate to common sense...

They got the "eye candy" exemption. Of course, Tulane wouldn't know anything about that. ;-)

It was an absolutely stupid comment made by an idiot sportswriter. For example,
I know two people who attend Alabama that are UAB fans...
The Alabama cheerleader who was really an Auburn fan on national TV...
You get the picture.
