This afternoon, she was diagnosed with having a brain aneurysm. We are requesting a referral to UAB tomorrow, to see Dr. Winfield Fisher. If anyone knows anyone better at UAB, other than Dr. Fisher, please let me know.
I'm so sorry to hear that and offer prayers for your wife and your family.
Hope your wife gets better.
mobileblazer, I am deeply sorry about your wife. Your family is in my prayers.
You have our prayers.
If there's anything any of us can do while you're up here, please let us know. Your family is in my prayers.
Done and done.

Godspeed.
God bless you and your family.
Y'all are in VERY good hands with Dr Fisher! I hope all goes well.
If you or your family have needs, remember you have a Blazer support system in B'ham. Just let a moderator know to let us know.

On that note, if there's anything I can do for you guys in Mobile, let me know. :)

Thanks, Sarabelle and all. Thankfully, my wife has plenty of family here to watch our 4 children, while we're in B'ham. We are hoping to be in the Ham next Monday or Tuesday for additional testing, and to meet with the doc.
I did not know if you went to the doctor today? You are in my daily prayers and stay postive.

How did the tests go?

She isn't able to see Dr. fisher, or have further testing in B'ham, until the 16th. They only perform this test for 16 patients/weekly. Dr. Fisher will be out of town all of next week. Also, we are trying to see another neurosurgeon here in Mobile. Until then, I'm not letting her out of my sights. Again, thank you to all for your continued thoughts.

My brother, a retired surgeon at UAB (former Director of the UAB Burn Unit), considers Dr Fisher to be outstanding in cranial surgery. I don't believe you would be able to do better as a choice than him.
A miracle happened this morning. After testing yesterday, we enjoyed a nice dinner at The Fish Market. Early this morning, we met with the UAB neurosurgeon. Dr. fisher told us that, out of the 1000 or so aneursym patients that he sees yearly, 1 or 2 of these patients are misdiagnosed. He then told my wife and me that she did NOT have an aneursym! He said that the radiologist and neurosurgeon had were incorrect. What looked to be an aneursym, was very small blood vessels. She will be retested in six months, as a preceution. If those tests are negative, she will be released. Again, thanks to everyone!
