This board has been nowhere near, not even close to as excited and full of happy expectations as it was last year at this time. Shutting the most loyal Blazer fans you have out of practice given last season's bellyflop is not the smartest move I can think of. We need to be building fans, not locking them out.
Watson, or more properly his surrogates who read the board for him, needs to know that even those of us who b*tch and moan about the shortcomings of the team or the coaching decisions in a given game... we're the hardcore. We wouldn't be on this board if we were not. It's not a matter of "don't piss us off" so much as it is that it is pure shortsightedness on the part of the coaching staff to shut out the loyalists. We're down there at the practice field because we love the Blazers and we want to know what's going on, and yes to feel a part of things in some small way. We're not out to hamstring the team or the coaches.
