Rush Limbaugh was arrested Friday on prescription drug charges, law enforcement officials said.

Limbaugh turned himself in to authorities on a warrant issued by the state attorney's office, said agency spokeswoman Teri Barbera.

The conservative radio commentator came into the jail at about 4 p.m. with his attorney Roy Black and was released an hour later on $3,000 bail, Barbera said.

The warrant was for fraud to conceal information to obtain prescription, Barbera said.

You are somewhat misconstruing the article. Any arrest was tied to previous charges, thus there was no new infraction. In fact prosecutors dropped all but one charge. He maintains his innocence even on that charge. I would agree that, based upon what I have read, me is probably guilty on the one charge not dropped (his punishment is solely to remain clean for 18 months). You, however, are making it appear that new charges were brought against Limbaugh, and simply is not true per the report you cite.
everyone knows he got addicted to pain pills after back surgery. is this any surprise to anyone?

As someone who has had back surgery, I can tell you, it's easy enough to do.

Not a defense or indictment of Limbaugh, just sayin'.
This is a non story. All of this went down a couple years ago when he went to rehab.
