Well, the point is, the public has been fed a lot of wrong information and far-fetched notions about this war.

From "we will be greeted as liberators", to "the insurgency is in its last throes", to General Franks saying that we would have just 30000 troops on the ground by the end of 2003...and the list goes on. It's now 2006 and we have 130,000 troops on the ground, 2300 soldiers dead, and a over 17000 injured. Would I like to the Iraqi forces strong enough to protect the volatile ares? Of course I would. Am I putting a lot of faith into this actually happening in the near future? No, not really. I've been fooled too many times to believe it before I actually see it happen.

yeah, and iraq is on the brink of civil war, nobody wants us there, and our soldiers terrorize women and children in the middle of the night.

So youre saying that the increase of secretarian violence couldnt lead to Civil War?

Nobody wants us there? I wouldnt say nobody, but the majority doesnt according to Zoghby polls.

Im not touching the terrorizing women, refer to the other thread for that.

of course it COULD, but it hasnt. all the major political/religious leaders helped calm the tensions after the golden dome was blown up.

oh, zogby? the same guy that said that kerry was ahead by 10 points? the very same zogby who's on the executive committee of the democratic national party? yeah, he's not biased.

yeah, i'd stay away from terrorizing women too, since according to the latest dem presidential nominee we are. but we love the military!!

Did they all hold hands and sing "kumbaya" too?

You may want to read the news, dfarr: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/con...00110.html
things arent looking so hot over there.

If you don't like Zogby, check the Gallup Organization, USA Today, and CNN...they all ran similar polls and got similar results.

And because he said...it means every single person in the same political party thinks it true! By that logic, because Bush cant speak proper English (nuc-u-lar, Great British, etc) all Republicans cant speak proper English either.

You said that news of Iraq being on the verge of civil war is false and that tensions had been calmed since the golden dome was blown.

Yeah, maybe if the University of Alabama's Inner-City Commuter College had taught you to write in thoroughly and with depth instead of the vague, cryptic prating you ramble off I would understand what you're talking about.
